Tennis Ball Maker Penn Sues Competitor Dunlap for False Advertising

The following article was written by Spencer Wingate.

Penn Racquet Sports Inc. and parent Head USA Inc. filed a federal lawsuit against Dunlop International Ltd. and Dunlop Sports Group America Inc. Monday in U.S. District Court. The complaint filed in Connecticut, stems from Dunlap’s tennis ball advertising statistics. Penn accuses Dunlap of misleading the public by stating Dunlap balls are the “World’s No.1 Ball” and that they maintain a seventy percent share of the global tennis ball market. Penn believes this is false advertising and neither statistic is true. Neither side would not comment on the matter when contacted.
